Kilmacud Crokes

Club Ethos

Here in Kilmacud Crokes we are starting an awareness campaign with regard to club policies and the responsibilities shared by us all when it comes to Child Protection and Child Welfare issues.

The safeguarding of our members will always be a key priority as we recognise that the welfare of the child is of paramount importance in our work.

Every player and parent who registers with Kilmacud Crokes will be agreeing to abide by our codes of behaviour so we are urging you to be aware of them and to read them carefully. As each policy is reviewed and updated we will be publishing it here on the Websites and making it available and easily accessible to members.

It is all of our responsibility to ensure that the best practice is implemented in Kilmacud Crokes. If you have a concern you can contact your section or the Child Protection Officer. Please remember that the majority of breaches of our Code of Behaviour are in fact instances of poor or bad practice and with the co-operation of all concerned, may be rectified and may not occur again.

There are three Children's Officers representing the juvenile sections within the club:

Ronnie Murray – Coiste  (boys' hurling and football to age 12)  087 2317255
Niamh Murphy - Camogie   086 3334080
Moira Sheehy - Ladies Football  085 7505805

Anne O'Connor is the Club Children's Officer and "Designated Person".

The Code of Behaviour will underpin all of our initiatives going forward and the recently revised 3rd edition can be downloaded from http://www.camogie.ie/child-protection-&-welfare-info.asp

This code is jointly produced and supported by ALL the governing bodies including:
